 Restoration of the Winslow Homer Studio as of Fall 2009 | Winslow Homer Studio Press Kit The Portland Museum of Art will open the Winslow Homer Studio in September 2012. The Studio and the surrounding grounds are currently closed to the public while construction and restoration projects take place. In celebration of the opening of the newly restored Winslow Homer Studio, the Museum will showcase the exhibition Weatherbeaten: Winslow Homer and Maine, on view September 22 through December 30, 2012. Weatherbeaten will feature more than 30 major oils and watercolors painted during Homer's tenure in the Studio (1883-1910) from museums throughout the country.
